The objective of this roundtable is to generate a deeper understanding of ASEAN-India relations and to identify shared perspectives and new avenues of partnership between India and ASEAN, leading to a fruitful discourse on emerging regional architecture. The ASEAN-India Centre (AIC) at Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) in collaboration with the Cambodian Institute of Cooperation and Peace (CICP) and with the support of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the Government of India and the ASEAN Secretariat is organizing the 7th Roundtable of ASEAN-India Network of Think-Tanks (AINTT) on 12-13 May 2022 in hybrid mode. This roundtable is being organized to commemorate the 30 years of dialogue relations between ASEAN and India.

Indian External Affairs Minister of State, Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh has agreed to deliver the Inaugural Address and the Secretary of State, Cambodia, Mr Kung Phoak will deliver the Keynote Address. Heads of prominent Think-Tanks of ASEAN Member States have already confirmed their participation in this Roundtable.

The theme of this year’s roundtable is “Post-Covid-19 Recovery: Regional Cooperation Agenda for ASEAN - India Partnership”. There will be an inaugural session, followed by five plenary sessions: (i) economic and sustainable recovery, (iii) cooperation in health, (iii) SDG implementation and MSMEs participation, (iv) connectivity and supply chain resilience, and (v) way forward. The tentative agenda of the event is attached for your ready reference.
