NINEISMINE PRATYeK convened the National Inclusive Children’s Parliament (NICP), a landmark national forum that united child representatives from 25 States and 3 Union Territories, along with state coordinators and members of prominent child rights organisations, to advance the cause of meaningful child participation in sociocratic processes. Through the structured proceedings of the National Inclusive Children’s Parliament, children presented well-articulated insights on the challenges faced within their communities, offered evidence-based recommendations, and formally expressed their expectations from the Government of India regarding policy reform, protection mechanisms, and inclusive development. Participants also engaged in substantive dialogue with embassy delegates and notable social activists, fostering a deeper cross-sectoral understanding of children’s rights and wellbeing. The deliberations reaffirmed a collective call for the integration of Inclusive Sustainable Goals—by the children, for the children, and from the children—underscoring the importance of recognising children as essential stakeholders in shaping an equitable and inclusive future for the nation.

Day 2 at IN-U.N World Children’s Day feels different this year.
We’re standing with 200 children from across India — each bringing their own story, curiosity, and courage. As they walked in, something shifted. They began listening to one another, learning from one another, and realising that their voices truly matter.

Today, these young leaders are diving into child rights, climate justice, equality, and the SDGs — asking bold questions, sharing lived experiences, and shaping real recommendations for the United Nations. Between sessions, there’s laughter, new friendships, moments of mindfulness, and quiet courage.

This doesn’t feel like a conference.
It feels like a movement.

A movement where children aren’t the future —
They are the present.
They are the leaders.
They are the changemakers.

As we launch IN-U.N, we witness something powerful:
When children speak, hope becomes action.
When children lead, the world shifts.

IN-UN Children’s Gathering
200 Children • One Vision • A Better World

Children from across India came together for an inspiring series of sessions on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), Human Rights, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
They also explored spirituality and meditation, discovering balance, inner peace, and the power of mindful leadership.

This unique space empowered children to learn, reflect, and lead with compassion—building a future that is rights-based, inclusive, and deeply connected to the world around them.

Children from across India took part in the National Inclusive Children’s Parliament Elections using the sociocracy model—where decisions are made with consent and every voice counts. They nominated peers, shared their visions, and participated in thoughtful circle discussions to ensure leadership that is diverse and inclusive.
Instead of competing for votes, they focused on listening, understanding, and selecting leaders who uphold climate justice and child-led action. These sociocratic elections showcased a reimagined, child-friendly form of governance rooted in respect, collaboration, and shared leadership.

Day 4 - NICP!
Our young leaders stepped into the Climate Change Parliament today — and wow, did they bring big, bold, inclusive ideas for a greener and safer future!

From talking about climate justice to exploring healthy meals and the beauty of India’s regional foods, the children discovered how our planet, our plates, and our cultures are all deeply connected.

Every conversation, every sharing, every smile added to their vision of an India — and a world — that is inclusive, climate-aware, and proudly child-led.

National Inclusive Children’s Parliament 2025
From 14–18 November, children from across the country are gathering in New Delhi to learn, reflect, debate, and imagine a better world together.

Throughout the week, they’ll be engaging in conversations on child rights (CRC), diversity and inclusion, UN Sustainable Development Goals, creative mediums like Theatre of the Oppressed, the idea of children’s parliaments, budgets and action plans, VNRs, elections, environment, and much more.

Each session is designed to give children the space to express their ideas, question what they see around them, and participate in shaping solutions. Their perspectives remind us that inclusion, fairness, and hope aren’t just themes, they’re lived experiences that children carry with honesty and clarity.

At PRATYeK, we believe that when children are included in decision-making, the future becomes more compassionate, more just, and more imaginative.
