ITBP Force is deployed from Karakoram Pass in the North West extremity of the Indo-China border up to Jechap-La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3488 KMs of mountainous and in many parts inhospitable terrain. The Force is manning the entire Indo-China border through border outposts at altitudes ranging from 3,000 to 18,800 Ft. Most of the forward outposts are exposed to the fury and violence of natur

पर्यावरण संरक्षण के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता को आगे बढ़ाते हुए 40वीं वाहिनी, , रांची द्वारा वृहद् पौधारोपण अभियान चलाया गया। हिमवीरों ने सामूहिक रूप से वाहिनी परिसर में लगभग 1 हज़ार फलदार एवं उपयोगी पौधे रोपित कर हरित एवं सतत भविष्य का संकल्प दोहराया।
