Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Limited AEGCL is a State Transmission Utility (STU) formed after restructuring ASEB in 2003.

Its core business is to efficiently transport electrical power from electrical power bulk heads to the distribution company networks in the state of Assam.

visited Bijulee Bhawan on 14/06/21 to review the power scenario of APDCL, AEGCL, APGCL.Also present in the meeting were Sri Jishnu Barua,Chief Secretary, Assam & Chairman, APDCL/AEGCL/APGCL, Sri Niraj Verma, Principal Secretary, Power deptt and Managing Directors of all three companies and other senior officials.Discussions were held to curb revenue loss and to take the state power sector companies to a profitable position.
