A Fire Safety Awareness-cum-Demonstration Programme was successfully conducted today(04/08/2026) at the District & Sessions Court, Pakyong, in the presence of the District & Sessions Judge, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Judicial Magistrate, and other officials of the District Court.

The session was led by SFO Bivek Chettri, covering the classification of fires, safe operation and use of portable fire extinguishers, and basic rescue techniques to be adopted during emergency situations. The programme also included a hands-on demonstration to enhance practical understanding and emergency preparedness among the participants.

On 16/07/2016, As directed by the DGP and DFS, the Dy. CFO -ll N/E visited Pakyong Fire Station, interacting with personnel and emphasizing professionalism, discipline, continuous learning, physical fitness, and public service. The visit also included an inspection of station records and facilities, with appreciation for the station's upkeep and guidance for further improvement. Personnel were encouraged to study the Sikkim Fire & Emergency Services Act, 2023 and prepare well for the upcoming departmental test.
