Felicitation of the newly elected office bearers of Namcheybong Block Development Society.

A meeting was held today at Ahopul Kishan School hall for the formation of Namcheybong Block Development Society. President, Secretary and Treasurer of BDS were elected through proper voting system to ensure fairness and transparency. Mrs. Naina Kala Rai was elected as the President of BDS, Mrs. Reema Chettri was elected as the Secretary and Mrs. Gou Maya S***a was elected as the Treasurer. Additionally, IBCB, SISD, FI and Livelihood sub- committees were also constituted which were headed by Mrs. Aita Maya Rai, Mrs. Chheni Dem Bhutia, Mrs. Sallow S***a and Mrs. Draupadi Guragain respectively. The office bearers and sub-committee members were briefed about their roles and responsibilities. The newly elected office bearers expressed their thanks and gratitude to all the members and promised to work for the betterment and benefit of Namcheybong BDS and it's SHG members.

A meeting was held at Lower Aho WDS on 28th August 2024. The main agenda of the meeting was to review the performance of WDS and SHGs of Lower Aho Ward. Staff from Namcheybong BMMU checked the books of records of CBOs also provided refreshers training to the book keepers. Block Incharge explained the members regarding SOPs which needs to be followed by the community institutions. All members were advised to make timely repayment of loans and ensure proper procedures are followed while giving new loans to members. Lastly SHG members shared their feedback with the block team.
