🏃♀️ Zero Waste Marathon — Participant Guidelines
Let’s run clean, run green!
Together, we’re making this marathon a model for sustainable sports events. Follow these simple guidelines to help us achieve zero waste.

♻️ 1. Before the Run
Bring your own essentials
• 🍼 Reusable water bottle or hydration pack — refill at water stations.
• 🍌 Cloth snack pouch — for fruits or energy snacks, no single-use wrappers.
• 🎽 Eco-friendly running gear — wear reusable bib belts, avoid disposable pins or tape.
• 🎒 Pack light and green — bring only what you’ll take back.
Avoid
• Plastic bags, disposable cups, sachets, and foil packets.
• Overpackaging

🚰 2. During the Run
Hydration & Refreshment
• Water and electrolytes will be served at refill points only — no paper or plastic cups.
• Volunteers will assist with refilling bottles quickly.
Waste Stations
• Separate bins for Organic, Recyclable, and Non-recyclable waste.
• Dispose mindfully; follow the signage and volunteer directions.
Eco Zones
• Look out for “Green Volunteers” / “Zero Waste Officers” who’ll guide you on sustainable practices.

🍎 3. After the Run
Post-run Refreshments
• Served in compostable or reusable containers.
• Leftover food will be donated or composted — please take only what you need.
Finisher Medals
• Made from local, upcycled, or biodegradable materials.
• No plastic wrapping or ribbons.
Return Points
• Drop off any borrowed or reusable materials at the Return Booth (bibs, bottles, etc.).
