कृषि विभाग ने धान की फसल में 'सदर्न राइस ब्लैक-स्ट्रीक्ड ड्वार्फ वायरस' (SRBSDV) की निगरानी और प्रबंधन को तेज़ कर दिया है।निगरानी टीम ने राज्य बायो-कंट्रोल और विकास खंड भवरना के अधिकारियों के साथ मिलकर हुंगलो, री और पाद्रा गांवों में धान के खेतों का दौरा किया, ताकि वहां कीड़ों और बीमारियों के पनपने की जांच की जा सके।

दिनांक 15 अगस्त, 2026 को आयोजित विशेष किसान रजिस्ट्री (Farmer Registry under Agristack) अभियान के दौरान जिला कांगड़ा में कृषि विभाग के अधिकारियों द्वारा 124 विशेष ग्राम सभाओं में भाग लिया गया।
इस अभियान के अंतर्गत कुल 4,070 किसानों को किसान रजिस्ट्री हेतु प्रेरित एवं संगठित किया गया, जिनमें से 181 किसानों का किसान रजिस्ट्री के अंतर्गत सफलतापूर्वक पंजीकरण किया गया।
