Anand Kutir is an Old Age Home functioning under the auspices of Kerala Brahmana Sabha, Palakkad. It was formed in with the noble mission of providing care and shelter to aged persons of Brahmin Community. It is housed in a serene environment at Chandranagar, Palakkad. Basic and essential amenities are provided at a very nominal rate. At present, the Kutir is undergoing expansion and renovation in
order to accommodate more inmates who have none to care for in their sunset years. The proposed building will have rooms with modern facilities. The estimated project cost is about Rs. 3.5 Crores and is expected to be completed by about December 2024. As is the case with any such infrastructure project, costs are a matter of concern and timely completion a challenge. This is an excellent opportunity to serve our community and to enshrine the memories of our parents and guardians. Donations are welcome by way of sponsorship towards financing of the project blessed by the grace of The Holy Acharyas of Sri Sringeri Mutt. As volunteering by physical presence is indeed difficult in today’s hectic life, the least that can be done is to ensure that the comfort of the aged inmates are not stopped for want of funds.
