The timeless art of letter writing came alive at L. D. Samant Memorial High School & Vidya Prabodhini Higher Secondary School & college, Alto-Porvorim, through the Dhai Akhar – National Letter Writing Competition on the theme "Letter to My Role Model.”

Students of Classes 8th, 9th & College participated with great enthusiasm, expressing their thoughts, emotions, and inspirations through handwritten letters. 💌✍️

📮 Goa Postal Division participated in the Birth Centenary Year Celebrations of Late Dr. V. D. Vartak, jointly organized by Goa University and the Goa Philatelic and Numismatic Society (GPNS).

As part of the programme, the philatelic exhibition titled “The Mycological Kingdom: A Philatelic Journey Through Fungal Classification” was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Senior Prof. (HAG) H. B. Menon, Vice Chancellor in presence of Shri. Anurag Nikhare, SSPOs Goa Division, Shri. Aslesh Kamat President GPNS along with other dignitaries at Conference Hall, Goa University. The exhibition presents a scientific and philatelic perspective on fungal classification through rare and thematic stamps.

The event featured addresses by distinguished dignitaries and a special invited lecture on Mycorrhizal Fungi by Prof. B. F. Rodrigues.

The Goa Postal Division is pleased to support initiatives that promote philately, scientific awareness, and academic collaboration.
