Three-day training programme for District/Charge/Addl. Charge level Census Officers was inaugurated on 05.02.2026 by Hon’ble Chief Secretary of Goa at Secretariat in presence of State Nodal officer & Secretary (Planning), Principal Census Officers of Districts and Secretary Panchayat & Director of Census Operations, Ms. Cheshta Yadav.
The Chief Secretary, Planning Secretary and Director, DCO Goa emphasized Charge Officers to have a thorough understanding of Census processes, usage of digital tools and their roles and responsibilities for ensuring an effective, accurate and smooth implementation of census work on ground level with good data quality.

Glimpses from the SLCCC meeting held today in connection with Census-related matters. The meeting focused on 10 agenda points beginning with period of SE & HLO along with routine review, coordination, and preparedness of Census activities, with participation of concerned officers and staff.

On 27-11-2025 Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Additional Registrar General and Shri Sandeep Rai, Deputy Director, ORGI, visited Margao ward-16, urban pretest charge of South Goa district along with Charge officer & Deputy Collector of Margao (MCL) and senior officers of DCO, to review the Pre-test field operation in the charge. Addl. RGI sir and Deputy Director, ORGI interacted with all enumerators, supervisors and charge officer to understand the challenges/issues faced by them and asked their suggestions for improving the functionality of different apps and portals.
