LAUNCH OF PROJECT MUSKAAN 2.0 | EAST SIANG POLICE

Every child deserves to grow up in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment.

Project Muskaan is the flagship Child Safety Initiative of East Siang Police, dedicated to protecting children through awareness, prevention, and early intervention. Under its Police Ki Pathshala programme, school children are sensitized on Good Touch–Bad Touch, Child Rights, the POCSO Act, Cyber Safety, and Bullying Prevention.
The initiative also promotes child-friendly reporting through Child Safety Complaint Boxes, educational visits to Ane's Home, and capacity-building of police personnel to ensure a responsive child protection system.

Following the overwhelming success of Phase-I, which reached 16,897 students across 104 schools, installation of compliant boxes in 100+ schools, outreach resulting into registration of POCSO cases , East Siang Police is proud to launch Project Muskaan 2.0—a strengthened and more community-focused chapter of this initiative.

Project Muskaan 2.0 expands the mission of child safety by:
✅ Renewing and strengthening child safety awareness across schools.
👨‍👩‍👧 Engaging parents through Parent-Teacher Meetings on their legal responsibilities towards child protection.
👩‍🏫 Conducting dedicated orientation and capacity-building sessions for teachers.
📮 Regularly monitoring and maintaining Child Safety Complaint Boxes in schools.
📊 Introducing simple learning outcome surveys and structured feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the programme.
👮 Further enhancing the capacity of police personnel through expert-led child rights training.

Child safety is a shared responsibility. Through Project Muskaan 2.0, East Siang Police reaffirms its commitment to working hand in hand with children, parents, teachers, schools, and the community to build a culture where every child feels safe, respected, and protected.

Together, let's protect every smile. Together, let's protect every childhood. 💙
