Five Stolen Two wheelers worth Approx 6.5 lakh Recovered; Accused Arrested

Pasighat Police achieved a significant breakthrough in two wheeler MV theft cases with the recovery of five stolen vehicles from different locations within the district.
During the operation, one alleged accused, Sh. Kendo Yomso( 28 yrs)S/O Late Nangkong Yomso, R/O Ngopok Village, East Siang District, (A.P),was arrested.

The recovery and arrest were effected by a police team comprising Insp Dujom Bagra,OC Pasighat PS, SI JTasung, SI K Tangha and ASI R Lowang under the supervision of the SDPO, Pasighat, Dr Akanksha, IPS.

In this connection, two separate cases have been worked out of Pasighat PS vide:
• PSGT/PS/C/No. 113/25 U/S 303(2) BNS
• PSGT/PS/C/No. 18/26 U/S 303(2) BNS.

Further investigation is in progress to ascertain the involvement of other accused persons and to effect recovery of any additional stolen property.

Student Exams are Priority: Action Against Modified Silencers – Raneghat / Komlighat Area

During a special checking drive conducted in the Raneghat and Komlighat areas, Pasighat Police seized multiple motorcycles fitted with illegally modified silencers today on 25/2/26.

Such modifications create excessive noise pollution, disturb public peace, and cause inconvenience to residents — especially at a time when CBSE and other examinations are ongoing.

Legal action is being undertaken.

Today, on 22.02.2026, the District Cyber Crime Cell, Pasighat, successfully restored ₹98,000/- lost in a cyber fraud Case to one Shri Hriday Nath Pandey.

The prompt lodging of complaint on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (www.cybercrime.gov.in), coupled with swift action by District Cyber Crime Cell and timely coordination with the concerned bank, led to the restoration of cheated money back to the complainant.
