On dated 01/07/2026 Hon'ble MLA of Bajali LAC, Shri Dharmeswar Ray, visited the office of PHE Bajali Division and reviewed the progress of works under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin (SBM-G). During the review meeting, various aspects related to implementation, progress, challenges, and future action plans were discussed in detail. The Hon'ble MLA assured his full support and cooperation towards the successful implementation of these flagship programmes and emphasized the importance of delivering improved and sustainable services to the people of Bajali District.

District Commissioner, Bajali along with PHED Officials attended the National Review Meeting on the Implementation of Structural Reforms under JJM 2.0 and SBM-G.

The meeting, chaired by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), focused on the accelerated implementation of structural reforms under JJM 2.0 and SBM-G emphasizing a shift from infrastructure creation to reliable, sustainable, and citizen-centric service delivery.

On the occasion of World Water Day 2026, SVEEP activities were successfully conducted at various PWSS under Bajali District.
The programme highlighted the theme “Jan Bhagidari, Matdata Shakti”, emphasizing community participation and voter awareness. A pledge was also taken by the participants in the presence of Marry Kalita, Assistant Commissioner, Bajali, and Drisha Deori, EO, Patacharkuchi Municipal Board. The event witnessed the active participation of BLOs, AWC workers, ASHA workers, IEC Coordinator, Khalasi, Swajalmitra, and community members, reflecting a strong commitment towards promoting voter awareness and strengthening democratic participation at the grassroots level.

Orientation on Jal Vidya in connection with "Jal Mahotsav Campaign 2026” has conducted at North Kamrup College, Baghmara under Bajali, highlighting the water quality, importance of water conservation and safe drinking water practices.

During the programme, students were sensitized about the need for sustainable water use and the protection of water sources etc.The campaign aimed to encourage young minds to become responsible citizens and active participants in ensuring safe and sustainable water for all.
