International Day of the Girl Child celebrations were held in Village Bhunerheri, District Patiala. The event showcased the local sportswomen by having handball, volleyball and athletics competition. The stadium work was done under NREGA and BBBP funds were used to paint the grafitti for women Olympians which now adorns the stadium walls and motivate young girls

Promoting the concept of having no distinction between pink and blue, and entire society coming together for our girls, the event honored single fathers from all walks of life who are working hard to ensure their girl child gets an excellent upbringing and are thus, serving as an example for society.

The event also saw parents of girls who have brought laurels to the district and society honored in all fields, such as judiciary, boxing, teaching etc.
The theme of respecting the choice of the girl child was highlighted, alogwith the powerful imagery of the young players in action, showing women empowerment

DBEE Patiala: As a result of its untiring efforts under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Deputy Commissioner Patiala Sh Kumar Amit Sir DBEE Patiala has successfully placed 63 DBEE candidates as staff nurses and data entry operators with Govt Rajindra Hospital Patiala.
