ਤਰਨਤਾਰਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ BSF ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ, ਇੱਕ MP-09 ਰਾਈਫਲ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਤ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਪਿਸਤੌਲ (4 ਗਲੌਕ, 2 ਜ਼ਿਗਾਨਾ ਅਤੇ 1 ਬੇਰੇਟਾ) ਜ਼ਬਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੇਪ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਪਾਰ ਬੈਠੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਤੱਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਕਤਲ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਨ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਤੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਕ ਸਾਂਝ ਭੰਗ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਮਕਸਦ ਨਾਲ ਭੇਜੀ ਸੀ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਐਫ.ਆਈ.ਆਰ. ਦਰਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਸਬੰਧ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ, ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਰੈਕੇਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼-ਅਧਾਰਤ ਹੈਂਡਲਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
