She established the family business Sonu Phulkari House in 1987 and launched products such as embroidered Phulkari bed sheets, cushion covers, Baag Dupattas etc. she started to promote herself as an exhibitor in All India Exhibitions from ministry of textiles - govt of india. She participated in many trade fairs and international exhibitions such as Surajkund Craft Mela - Suraj Kund, Taj Mahotsav Agra, Shilpgram Mahotsav Udaipur, International Trade Fair Dilhi Haat, India International Trade Fair Delhi and many more. She is still active in her endeavours. during that tenure she started consulting about Punjab phulkari art and craft to her Elder Son as a business consultant, with the help of her consultation , training and motivation her elder son Mr Amit Dhingra started an open online store in 2012 for Phulkari products where anyone can purchase phulkari prodects. The purpose of online store to deliver goods related to Phulkari all over the world.
