Being the NSS Programme officer and RRC Nodal officer of Patna Law College, it was my privilege to participate in the 2 days State Level Red Ribbon Club Nodal Officers Training on 10.01.2024 and 11.01.2024 respectively at the conference hall, Prema Residency Hotel, Kurji, Patna organised by the Bihar State AIDS Control Society (BSACS) for the RRC Nodal Officers of Patna University (PU) and Patliputra University (PPU).

On the occasion of World HIV-AIDS Day, 2023, the Red Ribbon Club (RRC), Patna Law College (PLC) organised a poster-making competition on the theme 'Let Communities Lead' on 01.12.2023 (Friday) at 2:00 pm. The total participation recorded was 14. Prof. (Dr.) Vani Bhushan, Dean, Faculty of Law, PU and Principal, Patna Law College encouraged the volunteers to contribute in emancipation of dangerous disease like HIV-AIDS through awareness programmes like the one which was organised today. Also, present during the event were Prof. (Dr.) Md. Sharif, Professor, PLC; Saurabh, Nodal Officer, RRC, PLC; Dr. Suruchi, Satish Kumar, Dr. Birender Paswan and Ravinder Kumar, Assistant Professors, PLC.The names of the winner would be declared soon.
Prof. (Dr.) Vani Bhushan, Professor, PG Department of Law, Patna University has been appointed as the new Principal of Patna Law College.The NSS unit of our college congratulates sir for this stupendous achievement.We look forward to sir's support so that the unit is able to continue its work in the interest of our beloved nation. At the same time, we also take this opportunity to congratulate Prof. (Dr.) Md. Sharif, Professor, Patna Law College for the completion of his highly successful tenure as Principal of this historic institution. Under his able guidance, our volunteers worked tirelessly to bring laurels to this premium institution.
The NSS unit of Patna Law College congratulates Dr. Birender Kumar Gupta sir on being appointed as the Head of the Department (HOD), PG Department of Law. We are sure that under sir's able leadership and guidance, the Department would scale new heights!
On the occasion of NSS Day, the NSS unit of PLC is organising a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Prathma Blood Bank. Your participation in this noble endeavor can save precious lives and make an invaluable difference in our community. The volunteers are therefore requested to make this event a great success through their active participation.

Why you should participate:
1. **Recognition**: Donors will receive a Certificate and Medal on the same day from Prathma Blood Bank.
2. **College Certificate**: You will also receive a certificate from the NSS unit of the college during the Prize Distribution Ceremony to held very soon.
3. **Refreshments**: The doners will also get complimentary snacks and juices to rejuvenate immediately after donation.
4. **Priority Access**: Donors will receive priority access at the blood bank in case of emergencies for the next one year.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, 2023, which was commemorated on 21.06.2023 (Wednesday), the NSS unit of Patna Law College held a yoga camp at its campus at 8:00 am (the details have already been provided in the earlier post). Thereafter, an essay competition was organised on the topic, 'Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam/ वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम के लिए योग' (which is the theme of International Yoga Day, 2023) for the volunteers. In the said competition, Khushbu Kumari (Roll No - 38, Session 2021-24), Vivek Kumar (Roll No - 43, Session 2021-24) and Aakansha Kumari (Roll No- 285, Session 2020-23) secured Ist, IInd and IIIrd positions respectively.
On 05.06.2023 (Monday), the NSS unit of Patna Law College had organised a rangoli-making competition at 02:30 pm on the theme, ' Save Earth, Save Environment' to commemorate and celebrate International Environment Day, 2023. Students made a valuable contribution in the success of the event. Teams consisting of Trisha & Jaya Vrati(3rd Yr); Akansha Mishra & Shailja Karn (3rdYr,); and Gaurav Prakash &Vicky Kumar(3rdYr) secured Ist, IInd and IIIrd positions respectively.
A centralised flag hoisting function was organised on Independence Day, 2023 (15.08.2023) at Patna Science College Ground at 09:00 am.The flag was hoisted by our hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Girish Kumar Choudhary in the presence of hon'ble Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh; hon'ble Registrar, Dr. Rabindra Nath Ojha; hon'ble Proctor, Dr. Rajnish Kumar; hon'ble Dean, Student Welfare, Dr. Anil Kumar; hon'ble NSS Co-ordinator Dr. Suheli Mehta and hon'ble Principal, Patna Science College Dr. R. K. Mandal on the dias. In the audience were present other respected teachers, staff-members and students of various constituent colleges of Patna University.
During the mentioned programme, the volunteers of the NCC and NSS units of all constituent colleges of Patna University participated in the parade/ march-past. Proudly representing the NSS unit of Patna Law College were the following volunteers-

The result of the poster-making competition which was organised by the NSS unit of Patna Law College on the occasion of the International Women's Day,2023 on the theme,"Gender Equality: Myth or Reality" is out.

The NSS unit takes this opportunity to thank Dr. Binod Kumar, Assistant Professor, College of Arts and Crafts, Patna University for taking his precious time out of his busy schedule to judge the event.Further, we also extend our appreciation to all the volunteers for taking part in the competition and the winners for deservedly securing the top-three positions.
Last year on this day (23.03.2022),during a programme organised on the occasion of Bihar Diwas at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall, Gandhi Maidan, Patna from 22.03.2022 till 23.03.2022, the NSS volunteers from Patna Law College including Trisha; Puja Kumari; Gaurav Prakash; Mohammad Shahbaz; Pallavi Kumari; Radhika Patel,Nitish Patel; Abhay Patel and Ravi Shankar performed a Laghu Natika on the theme 'Nasha Mukti' with an aim to support the initiative of the state government lead by our merculiar hon'ble Chief Minister Mr. Nitish Kumar to discourage the youths from getting addicted to alcohol and other intoxicating items.The performance was appreciated by one and all in the audience, which was evident in the sound of the echoes of their clappings. The NSS family recollects their stupendous achievement and wishes each one of them the best in their future endeavours.

Since 08.03.2023 (celebrated worldwide each year as International Women's Day)was a holiday and some students had not returned back from their homes post Holi, the NSS unit of Patna Law College organised a poster-making competition on 18.03.2023 from 12:30 pm on the theme 'Gender Equality:Reality or Myth' at the Conference Room, Shatabdi Bhawan with an objective to create awareness relating to women's position in our society and the need to ensure that they secure equal rights. In the competition, 17 students enthusiastically participated and contributed in making the event successful. The NSS unit thank each one of them for their invaluable support. The result would be announced very soon.
On 14.03.2023(Tuesday), G20 University Connect-Engaging Young Minds' was organised by IQAC,Patna University at Premchand Multipurpose Hall,Patna College from 11:30 am in which the key speaker was Ambassador Mr. Mukesh Pardeshi, Special Secretary,G-20, India.Other dignitaries present on the dias were Prof. Girish Kumar Chaudhary, Vice Chancellor,PU; Prof. Ajay Kumar Singh, Pro-Vice Chancellor,PU; Dr. Anil Kumar,Dean,Student Welfare,PU; Dr. Birendra Kumar,IQAC Co-ordinator,PU; Dr. Shefali Roy, Director, Institute of Public Administration,PU and Dr. Tarun Kumar, Principal,Patna College. Dr. Suheli Mehta, NSS Co-ordinator, PU hosted the event.In the programme, the winners of various competitions (precisely essay, speech and quiz competitions) held on 13.03.2023 were felicitated with momentos by the hon'ble Chief Guest and other guests.It is a matter of great pride that the efforts of five talented volunteers from the NSS unit,Patna Law College were also acknowledged. Our volunteers to receive awards include Akanksha Kumari (essay, IInd position); Prithvi Raj Ranjan (speech, Ist position)and Shreya Sri (speech, IIIrd position); Mritunjay Kumar Dubey (quiz, Ist position) and Sonu Kumar (quiz, IIIrd position).They will further receive certificates from the Government of India through postal services. The NSS unit of our College heartily congratulates them for their incredible achievements.

In the programme organised on 04.03.2023 at the Shatabdi Bhawan, the inaugural edition of the News Letter of Patna Law College was launched by our distinguished guests including hon'ble Mr. Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh, Acting Chief Justice, Patna High Court; hon'ble Mr. Justice Sandeep Kumar, Judge,Patna High Court; hon'ble Mr. Justice Harish Kumar,Judge,Patna High Court; hon'ble Mrs. Mridula Mishra,Vice-Chancellor, Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) and former Judge, Patna High Court; hon'ble Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh,former Judge, Patna High Court; Prof.(Dr.)Ajay Kumar Singh, respected Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Patna University and Prof.(Dr.)Md. Sharif,respected Principal, Patna Law College.It was a proud moment for the whole college fraternity and the NSS team congratulates the members of the Editorial Board including Prof.(Dr.) Mahammed Sharif (editor-in-chief) Dr. Suruchi, Mrs. Ruchi Singh, Dr. Upendra Nath, Mrs. Rahila Imam and Mr. Prabhat Kumar for their splendid work.
A programme was organised on 04.03.2023 at Shatabdi Bhawan in which Moot Court Room (in the memory of Late Mr. Vishwanath Pasayat)and Gate (in the memory of Late Dr. Chakradhar Jha) at Patna Law College was inaugurated by distinguished and eminent guests including hon'ble Mr. Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh, Acting Chief Justice, Patna High Court; hon'ble Mr. Justice Sandeep Kumar, Judge,Patna High Court; hon'ble Mr. Justice Harish Kumar,Judge,Patna High Court; hon'ble Mrs. Mridula Mishra,Vice-Chancellor, Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) and former Judge, Patna High Court; hon'ble Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh,former Judge, Patna High Court. The hon'ble judges also addressed the enthusiastic audience. In the programme, the welcome speech was given by the respected Principal of Patna Law College Prof. (Dr.)Md. Sharif while the function was presided over by respected Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Patna University Prof.(Dr.)Ajay Kumar Singh.Our learned Assistant Professor,Mrs. Ruchi Singh elegantly hosted the event.

Two volunteers from the NSS unit of Patna Law College, Trisha (IIIrd Yr, roll no-291) and Gaurav Prakash (IIIrd Yr, roll no-227), have been selected by the NSS Regional Office, Patna to take part in the National Integration Camp (NIC) to be held at BIT, Patna from 25/02/2023 to 03/03/2023. The Patna Law College family takes immense pride in congratulating the volunteers and urges them to give their best shot.
In the programme organised on the occasion of Swami Vivekanand's Jayanti (also celebrated as National Youth Day),2023 on 12.01.2023, awards were distributed to the meritorious volunteers who secured top three positions in the various inter-college competitions organised in the past two years in the honour of the legendary personality. The volunteers of Patna Law College to be felicitated include Abhay Kant Patel, Akshay Kumar, Gaurav Prakash, Pallavi Kumari, Puja Mishra, Radhika Patel, Ravi Shankar Kumar, Md Shahbaz Khan & Trisha (Nukkad Natak) and Aakil Imam Khan, Anima Verma, Gaurav Prakash, Harsh Vardhan (Quiz competition). The NSS unit, Patna Law College takes great pride in their fabulous achievement and hopes to receive their support in the future events too!
On the occasion of Swami Vivekanand's Jayanti (also celebrated as the National Youth Day), 2023, a centralised programme was organised on 12.01.2023 at the Senate Hall, Wheelar House,Patna University by the National Service Scheme (NSS),Patna University. In the programme, awards were given to the meritorious volunteers who secured top three positions in various inter-college competitions organised in the past two years (ie. 2022 and 2023) to mark the great man's Jayanti. In the said event, two volunteers were awarded the 'Best Volunteers Award' for their invaluable contributions to the NSS unit of their respective college as well as Patna University. It is a matter of great pride for the Patna Law College family, that the volunteers to bag the most prestigious award are Ms. Deepanjali Kumari (session 2019-22) and Mr. Vishwajeet (session 2018-21 ),both now alumni of this college. The NSS unit, Patna Law College wishes the two the best in their respective lives!

The NSS unit of Patna Law College organised an online quiz competition on the occasion of the World HIV-AIDS Day on 01.12.2022 from 2:45 pm. The Ist,IInd and IIIrd positions were secured by Mritunjay Kumar Dubey (Ist Yr); Hriday Prakash (IInd Yr) and Ravi Bhushan (IInd Yr); and Mrigank Shekhar (IInd Yr) respectively.
पटना लॉ कॉलेज की एनएसएस इकाई द्वारा ‘विश्व एचआईवी-एड्स दिवस’ के अवसर पर दिनांक 01.12.2022 को दोपहर 2:45 बजे से ऑनलाइन क्विज प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया।जिसमें क्रमशः मृत्युंजय कुमार दुबे (प्रथम वर्ष) ने प्रथम,हृदय प्रकाश (द्वितीय वर्ष) और रवि भूषण (द्वितीय वर्ष) ने द्वितीय एवं मृगांक शेखर (द्वितीय वर्ष) ने तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त किया।
RRC INTRA-COLLEGE QUIZ COMPETITION
The NSS unit of Patna Law College in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club (RRC)organised a college level quiz competition on 17.10.2022 in which Mritunjay Kumar Dubey (1st yr) and Sonu Kumar (1st yr) were selected to participate in the district level quiz competition to be held at Magadh Mahila College, Patna University on 19.10.2022.
पटना लॉ कॉलेज की एनएसएस इकाई ने रेड रिबन क्लब (आरआरसी) के सहयोग से 17.10.2022 को कॉलेज स्तर की प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया।पहला और दूसरा स्थान क्रमशः मृत्युंजय कुमार दुबे (प्रथम वर्ष) और सोनू कुमार (प्रथम वर्ष) ने हासिल किया। विजेता अब 19.10.2022 को मगध महिला कॉलेज, पटना विश्वविद्यालय में होने वाली जिला स्तरीय प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेंगे ।
