CRC Patna, under the administrative control of NILD, Kolkata, actively participated in the **Capacity Enrichment Programme** organized by **SCERT, Bihar, Patna**, at SCERT, Mahendru, Patna, on **20th August 2026**. The programme brought together **51 DIET lecturers from different districts of Bihar**, making it a significant platform for strengthening the capacity of teacher educators on accessibility and inclusive education.

Officials from CRC Patna were deputed as resource persons and conducted **highly interactive, practice-oriented and impactful sessions** focusing on key areas of disability inclusion, particularly **Indian Sign Language (ISL), effective communication with Deaf persons, Braille, and Orientation & Mobility (O&M) for persons with visual impairment**.

The sessions on **Indian Sign Language** were facilitated by **Ms. Monika Singh, ISL Interpreter**, and **Mr. Rohit Chand, ISL Instructor (Deaf), CRC Patna**. The facilitators effectively combined essential technical concepts with live demonstrations, interactive exercises and hands-on ISL activities. Participants were encouraged to actively practice basic signs and communication strategies, enabling them to experience first-hand the importance of accessible communication in inclusive educational settings. The practical nature of the session generated considerable enthusiasm and participation among the DIET lecturers.

The session on **Braille and Orientation & Mobility** was conducted by **Mr. Lal Chandra, Guest Faculty, D.Ed. Spl. Edu. (VI), CRC Patna**. Through demonstrations and practical exposure, participants gained a better understanding of Braille as an accessible medium of learning and the importance of Orientation & Mobility skills in promoting **independence, confidence, safety and participation of persons with visual impairment**.

The programme went beyond theoretical orientation and provided participants with **meaningful experiential learning opportunities**.

*_🇮🇳CRC Patna Celebrates 80th Independence Day🇮🇳_*
*CRC Patna (under the administrative control of NILD Kolkata)* celebrated the *🇮🇳80th Independence Day 🇮🇳* on *15 August 2026* with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit under the guidance of *Dr Lalit Narayan, Director, NILD Kolkata* and Dr Anil Kumar, Director (I/c), CRC Patna. The programme commenced with the flag hoisting by Mr. Rajendra Kumar Praveen, Assistant Professor, Special Education and officiating In-charge , CRC Patna, followed by an inspiring address. Children with special needs, students and staff actively participated in *Rangoli, Quiz, Fancy Dress and Drawing competitions,* and outstanding participants were felicitated with prizes. A *patriotic rally* was also organised, in which children, students, staff members and other participants enthusiastically participated. The celebration promoted patriotism, confidence, creativity, social participation and inclusion, with the message of “Unity, Inclusion and Patriotism” at its core.

सी.आर.सी,पटना द्वारा दो दिवसीय राज्य स्तरीय RCI-अनुमोदित CRE कार्यक्रम का सफल आयोजन

NILD, कोलकाता के प्रशासनिक नियंत्रण में तथा दिव्यांगजन सशक्तिकरण विभाग (DEPwD), सामाजिक न्याय एवं अधिकारिता मंत्रालय (MSJE), भारत सरकार के अंतर्गत कार्यरत CRC, पटना द्वारा दिनांक 12-13 अगस्त 2026 को “Educational Intervention for Students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) in Inclusive Education” विषय पर दो दिवसीय RCI-अनुमोदित राज्य स्तरीय Continuing Rehabilitation Education (CRE) कार्यक्रम का सफलतापूर्वक आयोजन किया गया। यह कार्यक्रम ऑफलाइन माध्यम से आयोजित किया गया। कार्यक्रम का आयोजन डॉ. ललित नारायण, निदेशक, NILD, कोलकाता के मार्गदर्शन तथा डॉ राजेंद्र कुमार प्रवीण, निदेशक प्रभारी/कार्यक्रम समन्वयक, CRC पटना के समन्वय में किया गया। कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ प्रतिभागियों के पंजीकरण, परिचय सत्र, दीप प्रज्वलन तथा गणमान्य अतिथियों के स्वागत एवं सम्मान के साथ हुआ। डॉ राजेंद्र कुमार प्रवीण, निदेशक प्रभारी/कार्यक्रम समन्वयक, CRC पटना ने स्वागत संबोधन में समावेशी शिक्षा के अंतर्गत Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) से प्रभावित विद्यार्थियों के शैक्षणिक विकास एवं सशक्तिकरण के लिए प्रभावी शैक्षणिक हस्तक्षेप तथा विभिन्न पुनर्वास विशेषज्ञों के समन्वित प्रयासों की आवश्यकता पर प्रकाश डाला। इस CRE कार्यक्रम के लिए कुल 85 प्रतिभागियों ने पंजीकरण कराया, जिनमें से 74 प्रतिभागियों ने कार्यक्रम के विभिन्न सत्रों में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया। प्रतिभागियों की उत्साहपूर्ण सहभागिता से यह स्पष्ट हुआ कि समावेशी शिक्षा एवं Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) से संबंधित प्रभावी शैक्षणिक हस्तक्षेप के प्रति पुनर्वास क्षेत्र के पेशेवरों एवं विद्यार्थियों में विशेष रुचि एवं जागरूकता बढ़ रही है।दो दिवसीय कार्यक्रम के दौरान विभिन्न पुनर्वास एवं शिक्षा संबंधी विषयों पर विशेषज्ञों द्वारा महत्वपूर्ण एवं ज्ञानवर्धक सत्र आयोजित किए गए। सत्रों के माध्यम से प्रतिभागियों को Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) की पहचान एवं शैक्षणिक हस्तक्षेप, समावेशी शिक्षा, विशेष शिक्षा, व्यवहार प्रबंधन, परामर्श, प्रारंभिक हस्तक्षेप, सहायक तकनीक, संचार एवं पुनर्वास सेवाओं सहित विभिन्न महत्वपूर्ण विषयों की जानकारी प्रदान की गई। विशेषज

*CRC Patna (under administrative control of NILD, Kolkata)* under the guidance of *Dr. Lalit Narayan, Director, NILD, Kolkata* and Dr. Anil Kumar, Director I/c, CRC Patna is conducting Two days offline State Level CRE Program approved by Rehabilitation Council of India in collaboration with *Nalanda Open University, Nalanda*, on 22-23 July 2026 on the topic of _*Recent trends in Inclusive Education and NEP 2020*_. On the first day, the program was inaugurated by *Prof (Dr.) Ravindra Kumar, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor* in presence of *Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Singh, Registrar*, Nalanda Open University, Mr Robin, Assistant Professor (Speech), Mr Vidya Bhushan, Lecture, PT, Ms Monika Singh, Interpreter ISL, CRC Patna. The program was coordinated by Mr Kumar Bharat Bhushan, Developmental Therapist, CRC Patna.
More than 100 rehabilitation professionals and 50 university faculties and students participated in the program.

*CRC Patna* , under the administrative control of the NILD Kolkata, DEPwD, MSJE, Government of India, *successfully organized a one-day Online RCI-approved National-Level CRE* Programme on *30 June 2026* under the guidance of *Dr. Lalit Narayan, Director, NILD, Kolkata, and Dr. Anil Kumar, Director In-Charge, CRC Patna,* on the topic of *"Comprehensive Orthotic Management of Spinal Deformities: Current Practices and Future Directions."*

The programme commenced with moderation and coordination by *Ms. Swarn Lata,* Physiotherapist, CDEIC, CRC Patna, who ensured the smooth conduct of all technical sessions. *Shri Parthasarathi Swain,* P&O/CRE Coordinator, formally introduced the programme by highlighting its objectives, relevance, and expected learning outcomes, emphasizing the importance of evidence-based orthotic management in spinal deformities. The programme was inaugurated by *Dr. Anil Kumar, Director In-Charge, CRC Patna,* who delivered the Welcome and Inaugural Address and emphasized the importance of this CRE program in enhancing professional competence and promoting quality rehabilitation services.

*CRC, Patna, under the administrative control of the NILD, Kolkata,* (DEPwD), (MSJE), Government of India, successfully organized an *2 days offline RCI-approved State-Level Continuing Rehabilitation Education (CRE) Programme* on *22-23 June 2026*. The programme was conducted under the guidance of *Dr. Lalit Narayan, Director, NILD, Kolkata,* and *Dr. Anil Kumar, Director In-Charge, CRC Patna* on the topic of *“Integrated Rehabilitation Services for Persons with Physical Disabilities: A Multidisciplinary Approach.”*
The programme commenced with participant registration, an introductory session, ceremonial lamp lighting, and the welcome and felicitation of distinguished guests. Dr. Anil Kumar, Director I/c delivered the welcome address, highlighting the need and significance of multidisciplinary rehabilitation services for the holistic development and empowerment of persons with physical disabilities.
A total of *103 participants registered for the CRE programme, out of which 87 participants* attended the sessions. The enthusiastic involvement of the participants reflected the growing awareness and interest in adopting a multidisciplinary approach in the field of rehabilitation.
During the two-day programme, several important and informative sessions were conducted by experts from various rehabilitation disciplines. The sessions covered topics such as the role of special education, counseling and behavior management, awareness regarding disability certification, physiotherapy management, management of hearing and speech disorders, assistive technology and government schemes, occupational therapy, rehabilitation and special education for children with visual impairment, early intervention, sensory integration therapy, and sign language-based communication and rehabilitation.
