Acting on a tip-off police team of Kaliganj PS apprehended a man, identified as Sarikul Mondal S/o- Abu Sufian Mondal of Choto Chandghar under Kaliganj Police Station in Nadia. The arrest took place on January 24, 2025, at approximately 8:15 PM near Gobindapur, beside NH 12.
During the operation, authorities recovered a total of 299 gms (approximately) of he**in from the accused. Following the seizure, Sarikul Mondal was taken into custody, and a case was registered against him under Kaliganj Police Station Case No. 84/25 dated 24.01.2025. He has been charged U/S- 21(C) of the NDPS Act.
Further investigations into the matter are underway.

এই কনকনে শীতের হাত থেকে বাঁচার জন্য আমরা বিভিন্ন ধরনের শীতবস্ত্র পরিধান করি এবং রাতের নিশ্চিন্তে ঘুমানোর জন্য মোটা ব্ল্যাঙ্কেট সহ ব্যবহার করে থাকি।কিন্তু দুঃখের বিষয় অনেক সময় দেখা যায় রাস্তাঘাটে কত অসহায় পাগল শীতের থেকে বাঁচার জন্য পশু পাখির মত লড়াই করে অতিবাহিত হচ্ছে দিন গুলো।এমনকি দেখা যায় পাশের বাড়িতেও অনেক অসহায় মানুষ তাদের রাতে এই কনকনে ঠান্ডায় ঘুমাতে পারে না🥺 আর আজ আমাদের কত উন্নত মানের মোটা বস্ত্র ব্যবহার করছি, অথচ তাদের একটি শীতের কম্বল পর্যন্ত থাকে না। তাই কালিগঞ্জ থানার পুলিশ কয়েকদিন থেকে চলছে বিভিন্ন গ্রামে,ভবঘুরে,অসহায় মানুষদের জন্য কম্বল বিতরণ করে আসছে। আপনাদের কাছ থেকে এটুকু আমরা চাওয়ার আপনারা শুধু দোয়া আশীর্বাদ প্রার্থনা করবেন আগামী দিনেও যেন এই কালিগঞ্জ থানার পুলিশ প্রশাসন মানুষের পাশে দাঁড়াতে পারে। কালিগঞ্জ থানা সর্বদাই মানুষের পাশে ছিল আছে থাকবে।ধন্যবাদ সকলকে।।।*

Based on a tip-off from the SOG and KPD, a truck (registration number WB19L/1616) traveling from the Berhampore side was intercepted at Mira Bus Stand tonight. During the operation, 90 kg of g***a was recovered from the truck in the presence of Dy. SP (D&T) Sir. A total of nine individuals were arrested, and a black Scorpio, which was escorting the truck, was also seized. A specific case is being registered vide Kaliganj PS case no- 1095/24 dated 14.12.2024 U/S- 20(b)(ii)(C)/25/29 NDPS Act.

In a significant operation with the help of Special Operations Group (SOG) of the KPD today, a 10-wheeler truck (bearing registration number WB51A/1825) traveling towards Krishnagar from Berhampore was intercepted at Janakinagar Uttarpara on National Highway 34 under Kaliganj PS jurisdiction.
During the search, conducted in the presence of the Circle Inspector of Nakashipara and the Deputy Superintendent of Police (D&T), authorities recovered 52 kilograms of g***a hidden within the cargo.
Following the formal procedures, three individuals were arrested: Sujan Mondal and Suman Mondal, both residents of Segunbaganpara, Krishnagar, and Prosenjit Ghosh from Adapota Muslimpara, Krishnagar. Based on this complaint a case has been registered at Kaliganj PS vide Kaliganj PS case no 1062/24 dated 04.12.2024 U/S 20(b)(ii)(C)/25/29 NDPS Act.
