Team SOTTO had a small kiosk at the BOOK fair in Puducherry. Remarkable response from the public with organ pledge on line . Our Transplant consultant Mr Gnanashekar and TransplanT coordinator initiated this idea and executed it to perfection . Thank you both.🙏

Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Research Institute , Sotto Puducherry.
Various skits on eye and organ donation were presented. The students covered the technical ,the medical ,legal, cultural and social aspects of Organ donation with emphasis on Eye Donation as it was celebration of the Eye Donation Fortnight.

India’s deceased donation rate is only 0.08 per million population(pmp) per year, and organizing such a program in India is a logistical challenge. But with the impetus from # NOTTO the rate has increased to 0.3pmp in the last decade.
