Lambert Saravanan Nagar project is one of the ambitious Urban Infrastructure Development project of the Government of with construction of 1184 Dwelling units in multi storied tenement style and along with provision of allied infrastructure. Unfortunately, the noble project happened to be halted midway in 2012 due to paucity of funds.

Now, with the extended opportunity under Programme, the Lambert Saravanan Nagar township gets a new life. Newly, 128 Dwelling units are built, a Community hall with a capacity to host about 500 people is developed, underground drainage facility, Under ground power cable network, LED street lights, comprehensive drinking water supply along with construction of an Over Head Tank, development of park, playground, greenery etc., are being developed to provide a sophisticated living environment for urban poor. Nearly 5000 people will be benefitted from the LS Nagar project under CITIIS programme.

Livelihood infrastructure in the low income neighborhoods in are being improved under the Project. The Ramalinga Nagar (Ganesh Nagar) Dhobi Khana (Laundromat) is one of the 4 livelihood facilities developed/ improved under the scheme. 54 washermen families will be benefitted from the intervention.

The residents in the Nesavalar Nagar are inaugurating the road construction work in presence of the Hon'ble MLA Thiru.M.Vaithiyanathan.
