On 14, October 2025 Beiten in Freiburg hosted the Event: „Namaste: Future market Indien - opportunities and challenges for German companies."

It was an insightful evening with Martin Herrenknecht from Herrenknecht AG, Burkart Knospe from Testo, Shatrughna Sinha from Consulate General of India Munich, Iris Becker, Let’s Bridge IT, Dr. Dieter Salomon from Southern Upper Rhine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Barbara Mayer and Gerhard Manz from ADVANT Beiten.

India polarizes – you either love it or you don’t. The country offers incredible development opportunities with a huge market, impressive growth rates, and a young, motivated, and well-educated population. However, India is not a market for beginners; gaining some internationalization experience elsewhere is advisable. Negotiations should take place on an equal footing – European arrogance is out of place. In India, Jugaad often beats perfectionism: doing more with less and finding unconventional, simple solutions are key. A market entry must be well prepared, ideally with the support of consultants who truly know the local conditions. If you are interested, you are welcome to get in touch.

At the German Indian Round Table (GIRT) at the Aurum in Karlsruhe, Heide Bost presented the tasks of the Baden-Württemberg State Agency for Immigration for Skilled Workers, which was founded in April.

The “Landesagentur für die Zuwanderung von Fachkräften” (LZF) opens up a faster and -somewhat- less bureaucratic track for companies to hire skilled workers from abroad in Germany and integrate them into their company. We have already used this new service together with our Handwerkskammer Region Stuttgart companies and can warmly recommend this way!

However, we are happy to advise our member companies comprehensively in advance on all topics relating to recruitment, entry, residence and integration of Indian and other international skilled workers or trainees.

GIRT is a wonderful networking event with active people interested in India and experts. Many thanks to Iris Becker, Let’s bridge IT for organizing this platform.
