একবার ভেবে দেখুন, গুলিবিদ্ধ হওয়ার মতো কী অপরাধ করেছিল এই শিক্ষার্থীরা ?

তারা সরকারের কাছে মাত্র তিনটি বিষয় চেয়েছিল: শিক্ষা, কর্মসংস্থান এবং জবাবদিহিতা।

একে-৪৭ (AK-47)-এর গুলিতে এক শিক্ষার্থীর পায়ের হাড় চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ হয়ে গিয়েছিল; আর সেই সঙ্গে সেনাবাহিনীতে যোগ দিয়ে দেশের সেবা করার স্বপ্নও তার ধূলিসাৎ হয়ে যায়। অন্য দুজন শিক্ষার্থীর কাঁধ ভেদ করে বেরিয়ে গিয়েছিল গুলি। এরা কোনো অপরাধী ছিল না। এরা ছিল দরিদ্র পরিবারের সন্তান—যারা পরিবারের স্বপ্ন বুকে নিয়ে পড়াশোনা করতে বেরিয়েছিল; কেউ চেয়েছিল ভালো চাকরি, আবার কেউ চেয়েছিল পরিবারের অবস্থার পরিবর্তন ঘটাতে।

বুলেটের ক্ষত হয়তো সেরে যাবে—কিন্তু এই শিক্ষার্থীদের মনে যে ভয়ের বীজ গেঁথে গেছে, তার চিকিৎসা কোন হাসপাতালে হবে?

মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও মুখ্যমন্ত্রী—এদের ভাঙা হাড় হয়তো জোড়া লাগবে। কিন্তু এদের চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ স্বপ্নগুলো কি আপনারা ফিরিয়ে দিতে পারবেন?

নিশু আজাদ ও তাঁর পরিবারের সঙ্গে আমরা পার্লামেন্ট স্ট্রিট থানায় উপস্থিত ছিলাম। আমাদের একটাই দাবি—নিশুর পরিবারের জন্য ন্যায়বিচার নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।

পুলিশ আমাদের জানিয়েছে, এই ঘটনায় SC/ST আইনের প্রাসঙ্গিক ধারাও প্রয়োগ করা হয়েছে।

নিশুর জন্য আমাদের লড়াই এখানেই শেষ নয়। প্রতিটি অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে আমরা পূর্ণ শক্তিতে লড়াই চালিয়ে যাব এবং ন্যায়বিচার না পাওয়া পর্যন্ত আন্দোলন অব্যাহত থাকবে।

নাশিক ও মহারাষ্ট্রের আদিবাসী শিক্ষার্থীদের এই লড়াই কেবল শিক্ষা, কর্মসংস্থান, হোস্টেল বা খাবারের বিষয় নয়—এটি তাদের অস্তিত্ব ও আদিবাসী পরিচয়ের লড়াইও বটে।

এই সাহসী শিক্ষার্থীদের সাথে দেখা হওয়াটা ছিল অত্যন্ত আনন্দের বিষয়; যারা নিজেদের অধিকারের দাবিতে মহারাষ্ট্র সরকারের সামনে দৃঢ়ভাবে রুখে দাঁড়িয়েছিল এবং শেষ পর্যন্ত জয়ী হয়েছে।

আমি শিক্ষার্থীদের কথা দিয়েছি যে, তাদের অধিকার আদায়ের প্রতিটি লড়াইয়ে কংগ্রেস দল এবং আমি তাদের পাশে আছি।
