A two-day Awareness & Capacity Building Workshop under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme commenced on 14th July 2026 at the Faculty of Fisheries Science, Assam Veterinary and Fisheries University (AVFU), Raha, Nagaon. The workshop is being organized for beneficiaries from the fisheries sector under the Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan (CMAAA) 2.0.
The programme is organized by the Assam Small Industries Development Corporation (ASIDC) Ltd. and implemented by the District Industries & Commerce Centre (DICC), Nagaon, in collaboration with the Faculty of Fisheries Science, AVFU, Raha.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Ankita Bora, ACS, Co-District Commissioner, Raha, as the Chief Guest, in the presence of the General Manager, DICC, Nagaon, the Dean, Faculty of Fisheries Science, AVFU, and other distinguished dignitaries.
During the programme, Dr. Bora interacted with local fish farmers and listened to their inspiring journeys—from starting on a small scale to building sustainable livelihoods. She appreciated their dedication and encouraged them to make the best use of government schemes and capacity-building initiatives to further strengthen the fisheries sector and contribute to rural economic development.
The workshop aims to enhance awareness, strengthen entrepreneurial skills, and empower fishery entrepreneurs through knowledge sharing and capacity building, paving the way for sustainable growth in the MSME sector.
