National Space Day 2026
As part of the ISRO Outreach Programme, National Space Day 2026 was organized on 7 August 2026 at Swami Atmanand Government Excellent Hindi Medium Higher Secondary School, Jashpur. The programme featured an inspiring popular lecture by an ISRO/NRSC scientist, highlighting India's remarkable achievements in space exploration, including Chandrayaan, Aditya-L1, Gaganyaan, and the exciting career opportunities in space science and technology. The lecture by CCOST scientist highlighted applications of Space Technology in the State.
A Painting & Quiz Competition was also organized to encourage creativity and scientific imagination among students. Around 240 students from different schools enthusiastically participated in the programme.
The event provided young minds with a unique opportunity to interact with an ISRO scientist, fostering scientific curiosity, innovation, and a deeper interest in space science.
The entire event was jointly organized by ISRO/NRSC, RRSC-C Nagpur, Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology (CCOST) and the Chhattisgarh Regional Science Centre (RSC), Raipur, under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Chhattisgarh.
