The official logo of Padmashree Dr. V. S. Wakankar Tiger Reserve, Ratapani, was unveiled by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav during the State-Level International Tiger Day 2026 celebrations, in the presence of dignitaries and senior officials. The unveiling marks a milestone in establishing a distinct identity for the reserve, reflecting its ecological significance and cultural heritage.

Conceptualized under the vision of the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department, the logo embodies Ratapani’s unique confluence of natural heritage, prehistoric legacy, biodiversity, and conservation. The rising sun symbolizes hope, renewal, and the enduring spirit of wildlife conservation. The rock shelter represents the iconic Bhimbetka Rock Shelters within the Ratapani landscape—a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for some of the world’s oldest prehistoric rock paintings. The outline of the Ran Bhainsa (Wild Water Buffalo) draws inspiration from the region’s prehistoric rock ar while the tiger represents Ratapani’s ecological importance.

The logo has been designed by Richa Kedia, who translated the Forest Department’s vision and concept into a distinctive visual identity capturing the essence of Padmashree Dr. V. S. Wakankar Tiger Reserve, Ratapani.
