A TWO MINUTE SILENCE WAS OBSERVED ON MARTYR'S DAY AT RPHQ RAJOURI

In a heartfelt tribute to the sacrifices of our national freedom fighters, a two-minute silence was observed at Rajouri-Poonch Range Hqrs Rajouri.

The silence was observed by Staff Officer to DIG RP Range, Pvt. Secy. to DIG RP Range and Administrative Officer RPHQ Rajouri along with other officers/officials. The day serves as a reminder of the invaluable freedom we now enjoy, made possible through the sacrifices of our courageous freedom fighters. It strengthens our patriotic spirit and encourages us to contribute to the betterment of our country. The day symbolizes national unity and pride, reminding us to honour the brave hearts who laid down their lives for the nation's freedom.

16th National Voters Day Pledge Ceremony held at RPHQ Rajouri.

Today on 24-01-2026, in connection with the 16th National Voter’s Day, a pledge ceremony was conducted at RPHQ Rajouri on 1100 hours. DIG RP Range Sh. Tejinder Singh-IPS administered the pledge to the staff.

The theme of this year’s National Voter Day is “My India, My Vote”. All personnel took the pledge to uphold democratic values and to participate fearlessly in free and fair election. The event concluded with a reaffirmation of faith in democracy.

SEMINAR ORGANISED ON THE OCCASION OF THE 150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SARDAR VALLABHBHAI PATEL UNDER CIVIC ACTION PROGRAMME AT BGSBU, RAJOURI

Rajouri, 31 December 2025
Under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2025–26, Range Police Headquarters, Rajouri organised a one-day seminar on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri.
The programme was graced by Prof. Jawaid Iqbal, Vice Chancellor, BGSBU Rajouri as the Chief Guest. Mr. Tejinder Singh, IPS, DIG Rajouri–Poonch Range and Mr. Abhishek Sharma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri were present as Distinguished Guests. A large number of students, university officers, faculty members and officers of the Police Department participated in the programme.
During the seminar, the speakers delivered lectures on Strong leadership in modern India-Sardar Patel’s legacy, highlighted the visionary leadership of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, his immense contribution to the unity and integrity of the nation and his historic role in the integration of the princely states into the Indian union. The speakers also called upon the youth to uphold the values of national unity, mutual harmony and responsible citizenship.
The objective of the programme was to inspire the youth to imbibe the ideals of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and to encourage them to play a positive and constructive role in nation building.

76th CONSTITUTION DAY CELEBRATED ON 26TH NOVEMBER 2025 AT RPHQ RAJOURI

In connection with celebration of 76th constitution day a pledge taking ceremony was held at RPHQ Rajouri. The pledge began with the reading of the preamble to highlight the key values of the Constitution.

And in 2005 SPO Romesh Kumar, SPO Jagdish Raj of Kishtwar gave the supreme sacrifice of their lives in the line of duty.
