The ridge is composed of the ๐ ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐น๐ฒ- ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ (๐ต๐ฑ-๐ญ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐บ๐ถ๐น๐น๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐ด๐ผ) ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ๐ of the ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ผ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฝ, the geologic unit from which the hogback gets its name. Here, the ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ธ and the ๐๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ผ๐ of the ๐ ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป and the ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ and ๐๐ต๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ of the ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ผ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป.

The ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ผ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฝ is ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฑ for ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด impressive ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฟ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ across the Colorado Front Range.
