Discussion Meeting on Farmer Registry Successfully Held at Rangia

A discussion meeting on the Farmer Registry was successfully held today at the Conference Hall, Office of the Co-District Commissioner, Rangia, under the chairmanship of the Co-District Commissioner, Rangia.

The meeting was attended by the Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer (SDAO), Rangia, Agricultural Development Officers (ADOs) under Rangia Co-District, Circle Officers, Land Records (LR) staff, and other concerned officials.

The participants discussed strategies to streamline the registration process and emphasized coordinated efforts to ensure that all eligible farmers are covered under the Farmer Registry initiative.

CDDC MEETING FOR THE MONTHS OF MARCH, APRIL AND MAY

Today, Nabajit Pathak, ACS, Co-District Commissioner of Rangia chaired the Co-District Development Committee meeting for the months of March, April and May with the Heads of various departments.

During the meeting, he reviewed various developmental schemes and assessed the interdepartmental issues affecting their completion.

AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON JAPANESE ENCEPHALITIS

Today, an awareness campaign was held at the Arimatta Baidyagarh Gaon Panchayat hall with residents from five villages where Japanese encephalitis cases were detected.

The campaign was led by Shri Nabajit Pathak, ACS, Co‑District Commissioner of Rangia and attended by Assistant Commissioner of Rangia, SDM & HO (HQ), SDM & HO (Rangia BPHC), SDAO and SDVO, Rangia. Health, veterinary and agriculture officials briefed about the precautionary measures for the public and busted myths about JE.

Meeting on Japanese Encephalitis

Today Shri Nabajit Pathak, ACS, Co‑District Commissioner of Rangia, chaired a meeting to review preparedness and response to the Japanese encephalitis cases detected in Rangia, with representatives from the following departments:

1. Health
2. ⁠Municipality
3. ⁠PWD (R)
4. ⁠Agriculture
5. ⁠Veterinary

Based on inputs received from these departments, large‑scale fogging will be carried out in and around JE hotspots, medicated mosquito nets will be distributed and awareness drives will be conducted on regular intervals.

PREPARATORY MEETING ON INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA 2026

Smt Mridusmita Borah, ACS, Co-District Commissioner of Rangia, chaired a preparatory meeting with all heads of departments in Rangia for the upcoming International Day of Yoga 2026.

In the meeting, she urged all the HODs to participate and help make the event, a collaboration with the Sadhana NGO in Rangia, successful.

DDC MEETING FOR MAY 2026

The District Development Committee (DDC) meeting for May 2026 was held in the conference hall of the CDC Office, Rangia in the presence of the Hon’ble MLA of Rangia, Shri Bhabesh Kalita, and the District Commissioner of Kamrup, Shri Deba Kumar Mishra, ACS.

The DC reviewed the progress of developmental schemes across various departments, with particular emphasis on activities in Rangia.

Also present were the DDC (Kamrup); ADCs (Kamrup); the CDC, Rangia; and the Heads of Departments of Kamrup.

DISTRIBUTION OF FOOTBALLS UNDER F4S PROGRAMME

Today, Shri Debashis Goswami, ACS, Co-District Commissioner of Rangia, distributed footballs to nearby students under the Football for Schools (F4S) programme, an ambitious initiative run by FIFA in collaboration with UNESCO and the Ministry of Education, GoI to advance grassroots sports development across India.

The programme was held at JNV Rangia, Kamrup in the presence of the Principal and other teaching staff of the Vidyalaya.
