Koteshwar Mahadev Temple is in the form of a cave and is located on the bank of Alaknanda River. Devotees believe that Lord Shiva meditated in the cave here on his way to Kedarnath Dham when Pandav were approaching him to get release from the sin they committed in Mahabharat War by k

illing their own cousins and uncles. Every year thousands of Devotees come here mostly in the Rainy session(July & August). This temple is around 3 km ahead from Rudraprayag which covers approx 2.6 km distance by Vichale and 400 M distance on foot. Umra Narayan Description:

This temple was built by Adi Shankaracharya when he was on his way to Badrinath Dhaam. This Temple is located around 5 Km ahead from Rudraprayag Distt. which covers 4.7 KM distance by Vichale and 300 M distance on foot. Local Guys from Sour, Khurad and Sunn Villages, Occasionally come here and do worship to lord Narayan to get the blessing and hapiness.
