Khelo India Samvaad – Khel Ki Baat PM Modi Ke Saath at Sadiya College

The NSS Unit, Sadiya College, in collaboration with MY Bharat, Tinsukia, successfully organised “Khelo India Samvaad – Khel Ki Baat PM Modi Ke Saath” on 27 August 2026 at the Conference Hall of Sadiya College, Chapakhowa, as part of the observance of National Sports Day 2026.

The programme commenced with the live telecast of the address of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, witnessed by around 110 students, NSS & MY Bharat volunteers, teachers, sportspersons and invited guests.

The local programme began with the felicitation of distinguished guests and sportspersons, followed by the Welcome Address by Dr. Bhupen Chutia, Principal, Sadiya College. The Inaugural Address was delivered by Mr. Ankit Mitra, ACS, Assistant Commissioner, Co District Administration Sadiya, as the Guest of Honour.

This was followed by the introduction of the sportspersons and an engaging moderated interaction with Judo athletes Ms. Anisha Akhtar Ahmed and Ms. Bhumista Das, who shared their experiences and inspired the young participants. Mrs. Rupamoni Chiring, Vice-Principal, Sadiya College, also addressed the gathering.

The highlight of the programme was the Yuva Samvaad – Open Interaction, where Laxmi Devi Chetry, Maisha Irteza Alam, Charu Khatun, Debojit Dutta and Noyon Pegu shared their views and aspirations on five key themes—Improving the Sports Ecosystem, Nurturing Talent for 2036, Youth Leadership in Governance, Empowering Youth for Viksit Bharat, and Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat.

The programme concluded with Concluding Remarks, MY Bharat Registration Appeal and the Nasha Mukta Bharat Pledge led by Dr. Nakul Neog, Programme Officer, NSS Unit, Sadiya College, followed by the Vote of Thanks by NSS Volunteer Mr. Sekhar Chetri and the National Anthem.

The programme was moderated by Mr. Tushar Koirala and Ms. Pami Buragohain.
