A Diabetes and Dyslipidemia Diagnostic and TB Awareness Camp was successfully organised on the occasion of at our Kaniha Dispensary, MCL. The camp reached 106 beneficiaries including employees, family members, contractual workers, and nearby project-affected villagers.

The camp provided screening services, spread awareness about these diseases and offered guidance on lifestyle modification along with essential health education to promote long-term wellness.

2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Central Hospital, Ib Valley Area, MCL under the theme "Climate Action".

A range of competitions and awareness activities, including Rangoli, Drawing, Best Out of Waste, Fancy Dress, Environmental Quiz, and Biomedical Waste Segregation contests, encouraged environmental awareness and sustainable practices among employees, their families, and Safai Mitras.

The celebration fostered environmental responsibility, creativity, and community participation, while reinforcing the importance of adopting eco-friendly practices for a healthier, greener, and more sustainable future.

A plantation drive, led by Shri Uday Anant Kaole, CMD, MCL, was carried out at the company HQ on the occasion of 2026. Functional Directors, CVO, senior officials and employees also actively participated and planted saplings with the pledge for sustainable growth.

On the occasion of , Shri Uday A. Kaole, CMD, unfurled the Environment Flag and administered the Environmental Protection Pledge, reaffirming our collective commitment towards sustainability, at the company headquarters during the concluding ceremony.

Aligned with this year’s theme, “Climate in Action”, the pledge emphasised proactive measures for environmental conservation, responsible resource utilization and building a greener future.

Meanwhile, Shri Keshav Rao, Director (HR), read out the message from the Chairman, Coal India Limited. Functional Directors, CVO, HoDs and employees were also present on the occasion.

Clean-Up Drive at Hirakud Dam!

A clean-up drive was organised at zero point, Hirakud Dam- the world’s longest man-made earthen dam and a major tourist attraction as a part of .

Shri Uday Anant Kaole, CMD, MCL, flagged off the drive in the presence of Shri Keshav Rao, Director (HR), Shri A.K. Behura, Director (Finance). Around 150 employees along with senior executives participated in the initiative, highlighting the need to preserve our surroundings.

This marks the fourth consecutive year of this meaningful initiative by MCL.
The waste collected, including plastic and other discarded materials, was handed over to the municipal solid waste management facility at Burla for proper disposal.

Let us all come together and turn “Climate in Action” into a collective responsibility.
