Migratory birds locally called as Tyai, Chao, Vouyi etc. visit the land in winters to feed on Chashi (Champaca fruits) which are normally ripened by November. The villagers practice handicrafts such as weaving of baskets, barns, mat and other household items by cane, bamboo and a type of small bamboo locally called as Tyai-mhah found in large quantities in the forest. The products are also exported to neighbouring villages and other states. It was possibly one of the major sources of income for the villagers.
