Waste wood finds a new purpose through the craftsmanship of Malstone N. Sangma, the artisan behind Artistic Furniture, from Rongreng Chidekgre, William Nagar, East Garo Hills.

By transforming discarded waste wood into handcrafted tables, flower stands, animal statues, and other decorative products, Malstone is giving new life to materials that would otherwise go to waste.

With the support of PRIME Meghalaya, he received solar power, machinery, a working shed, and other business support, helping him strengthen and grow his enterprise. He has also had the opportunity to participate in exhibitions, expanding the reach of his products.

With passion, creativity, and the support of PRIME Meghalaya, Malstone is building a business that turns waste into value.

Meet Lokki M. Sangma, founder of Lokki Food Product, from Bolkinggre, East Garo Hills.

Using locally available fruits, Locky produces a wide range of chips, juices, and wines, adding value to local produce since 2005.

With the support of PRIME Meghalaya, she received a ₹2 lakh grant, along with solar power, machinery, and assistance with packaging and labelling, helping her strengthen and expand her business. She has also had the opportunity to participate in exhibitions, showcasing her products and reaching wider markets.

Her journey is an inspiring example of how innovation, dedication, and the right support can help local entrepreneurs thrive.
