Can I update my details in Aadhaar after enrolment?

Yes, you can update your details in Aadhaar after the initial enrolment. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) allows individuals to make corrections or updates to their Aadhaar information through the Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal (SSUP) or by visiting an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre. Here's how you can update your details in Aadhaar:

Online Address Update Procedure:
a. Visit the UIDAI's Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal at https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in.
b. Enter your Aadhaar number and request an OTP (One Time Password). OTP is only sent to the Aadhaar linked Mobile No.
c. Provide the OTP and login to the portal.
d. Fill up the relevant details in the address field
e. Scan and Upload the valid Proof of Address document as per acceptable supporting document.
f. After submitting the update request, you will receive an Update Request Number (URN) for tracking purposes.

Update at Aadhaar Enrolment Centre:
a. Visit your BDO, SDO or Deputy Commissioner Office where the Aadhaar enrolment centres have been set up by the State Govt.
b. Carry the original supporting documents for the update (e.g., proof of identity, address, etc.).
c. Fill out the Aadhaar Update/Correction Form with the updated details as per document.
d. Submit the form and necessary documents to the authorized personnel at the centre.
e. Your Finger Print or Iris impression will be captured to check the authenticity.
f. You will receive an acknowledgment slip containing the URN (Update Request Number) for tracking the status of your update.

Remember to provide accurate and valid supporting documents while updating your Aadhaar details. The UIDAI reviews the update requests, and once processed, you can download the updated Aadhaar card online or receive it by post.

Please Note that Aadhaar users are allowed to correct/update their Name twice, Gender –Once and Date of Birth- Once.
