Marshillong is one of the ancient villages of Maharam Syiemship, 45 Km Southeast of Nongstoiñ and 4 KM North of Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills, Meghalaya. It is here that the Lyngdoh Marshillong clan once took its root, near the sacred forest (Khlaw Lyngdoh), along the Um Rilang river and then dispersed to the whole State of Meghalaya.
