Proud to provide a dignified place for Hasheem and his family to live. Affected by polio in childhood that left him without education or job, Hasheem found an answer his prayers for a house in his own village in Palmanir, Andhra Pradesh. He runs a small shop to make ends meet.

Up until now, he and his family were living in a makeshift cow shed. No longer!

The house is built by Project Shelter, a movement started by Fr. George Kannanthanam and HOPE Society, Bangalore dedicated to providing shelter for families with disability or terminal illness, widows, and those who lose their homes in a disaster.

This is the 20th house built by Project Shelter and first in Andhra Pradesh.
