The Governing Body Meeting of CSS-ATMA, Cachar was held on 12 August 2026 at the DC Conference Hall, under the chairmanship of Shri Rahul Kumar Gupta, IAS, District Commissioner, Cachar. Dignitaries present included Shri Dhruba Jyoti Pathak, ACS, ADC, (Agriculture) Cachar, Dr. Abu Sayed Nuruz Zaman, Chief Scientist, Zonal Research Station, AAU, Sribhumi, Dr. Suresh Chandra Biswas, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK, Cachar, Dr. Rahul Chakroborty, District Agricultural Officer, Silchar, Shri Nekibur Zaman, SDAO, Horticulture, Shri Manash Pratim Gogoi, Fishery Development Officer, Cachar, progressive farmers, representatives of input dealers, departmental officials and all CSS-ATMA, Cachar staff including BTMs and ATMs. The meeting focused on reviewing the ongoing activities of CSS-ATMA, Cachar, Action Plan and discussing future strategies for strengthening agricultural extension services, convergence with line departments, farmer-oriented interventions, capacity building, demonstrations, and effective implementation of various agricultural development programmes in the district. The participation of officials, scientists, progressive farmers, input dealers, and field-level CSS-ATMA staff provided a platform for constructive discussion and coordinated planning for the overall development of the agricultural sector in Cachar district.
