MBA ADMISSION FOR ACADEMIC SESSION 2026 - 2028

The Department of Management, University of North Bengal invites application for admission to its 02 year Full Time MBA Programme (Dual Specialization, under CBCS mode) for the academic session 2026 β 2028
Eligibility Criteria & Selection Procedure
1) Candidates are required to complete a Bachelorβs degree (final semester appearing candidates are also eligible to apply) of minimum 3 yearsβ duration in any discipline (except performing and fine arts) from a recognized Indian University or Foreign University (As per University Norms) with a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate (5% relaxation will be given to SC, ST, OBC candidates). Foreign / NRI / SAARC may apply as per University rules & regulations.
2) Final year students awaiting results may also apply, nevertheless, their admission will be treated as purely provisional. Before the commencement of the MBA first semester examination they have to obtain the requisite qualification as stated in point 1, otherwise their candidature may stand cancelled.
3) Candidates fulfilling the above-mentioned eligibility need to appear for the Entrance Test (100 marks) i.e. NBUMAT - 2026, conducted by the Department of Management, University of North Bengal. Candidates having valid scores (between 22nd August 2025 to 15th July 2026) of CAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT / GMAT / ATMA / WBJEMAT are however exempted from appearing in the aforementioned Entrance Test.
4) Candidates of NBUMAT-2026 and candidates having valid scores of CAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT / GMAT/ ATMA / WBJEMAT entrance tests as stated in point 3 will appear for the Final Selection Process.
5) The Final Selection Process will comprise of Group Discussion (GD: 25 marks), Personal Interview (PI: 40 marks), Essay Writing (25 marks) Extempore (10 marks). Candidates scoring minimum 50% (Composite score in the final selection process) (5% relaxation will be given to SC, ST, OBC candidates) are eligible for provisional admission for the academic session 2026-27.
6) The final merit list will be prepared and published in University website (www.nbu.ac.in & https://mba.nbu.ac.in). Any tie on the score sheet may be resolved by considering the score up to three places after the decimal point.
7) Under any exceptional situation when the tests stated in point 3 cannot be conducted, the merit list may be prepared on the basis of the marks scored in the qualifying examination by the candidates as stated in point 1. 8) The merit list may be prepared in accordance with the Government and University rules and norms.
