Message from Shri Ganesh K Rai on the occasion of 51st statehood day, Sikkim.

My Dear Sikkimese people,
As Sikkim commemorates the 51st anniversary of attaining full statehood within the Indian Union on the historic day of 16th May 2026, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes to every citizen of our beloved state.

This day is not merely a constitutional milestone in our political history it is a solemn reminder of the collective aspirations, sacrifices, and democratic spirit that shaped modern Sikkim. The integration of Sikkim as the 22nd state of India in 1975 marked the beginning of a new era founded upon democratic values, social justice, inclusive governance, and the promise of equitable development for all sections of society.

Over the last five decades, Sikkim has traversed an extraordinary journey. From a young Himalayan state with limited infrastructure and opportunities, Sikkim has emerged as one of India’s most admired states in areas such as environmental conservation, organic agriculture, literacy, tourism, healthcare, peace, and communal harmony. The resilience and hard work of our people, coupled with the wisdom of generations, have enabled Sikkim to stand as a model of sustainable and peaceful progress.

However, as we step into the 51st year of our statehood, we must also look ahead with responsibility and foresight. The coming decades will present new and complex challenges. The world is evolving rapidly through technological advancement, climate change, shifting economies, artificial intelligence, demographic transitions, and global competition. In such a transforming world, Sikkim too must prepare itself intellectually, economically, and institutionally to remain resilient and self-reliant.

The role of the younger generation will therefore be decisive in shaping the next chapter of Sikkim’s history. Our youth must become the torchbearers of reform, innovation, entrepreneurship, ethical leadership, and social transformation. They must strive to build a Sikkim that is self-sustainable in agriculture, education, technology, healthcare, energy, tourism, and employment generation while preserving the moral and cultural foundations of our society.

Development without identity is incomplete. Progress without environmental consciousness is unsustainable. Therefore, while embracing modernity and advancement, Sikkim must continue to walk the path of preserving its unique heritage, rich traditions, diverse cultures, indigenous values, historical legacy, and fragile Himalayan ecology. It is our sacred responsibility to protect and pass on this priceless inheritance to future generations.

On this significant occasion, let us collectively renew our commitment towards building a stronger, greener, more democratic, and more self-reliant Sikkim a state where progress is inclusive, governance is accountable, and every citizen has the opportunity to contribute with dignity and pride.

May the spirit of unity, peace, and progress continue to guide our beloved Sikkim.

Jai Hind.
Jai Sikkim.

Party President message on Labour Day 2026.

On this Labour Day, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all the hardworking men and women across Sikkim, whose dedication, commitment, and perseverance fuel not only the economy of our state but also drive the progress of our nation. Your relentless efforts ensure that the wheels of development keep turning, and it is your labor that forms the backbone of our collective growth.

Sikkim, over the past fifty years, has witnessed modest industrial output due to various challenges. However, with time, this sector has grown significantly, emerging as a vital source of employment for our people. As we embrace this growth, it is equally essential to prioritize the welfare and working conditions of our labor force, creating a healthier, safer, and more conducive environment for all workers.

As Sikkim steps towards its next centenary, we face numerous tasks and higher priorities in the journey of development. In this context, the contributions of our workers are more crucial than ever, and their well-being must remain at the forefront of our vision.

The Citizen Action Party – Sikkim remains deeply committed to the welfare of our workers. We have formulated various policies aimed at ensuring fair treatment, better working conditions, and opportunities for growth, recognizing that the prosperity of Sikkim is inseparable from the dignity and progress of its labor force.

On this Labour Day, let us honor the spirit of our workers and reaffirm our commitment to creating a Sikkim where every worker is respected, valued, and empowered.
