Madhavan Ranganathan, popularly known as "Maddy," is a distinguished National Award-winning actor, producer, director, and public figure who has made an indelible impact on Indian cinema across multiple languages. With a career spanning nearly three decades, he is widely recognised as one of India's foremost Pan-Indian stars, commanding A-list stature and an enduring fan base across the country and abroad.

R Madhavan's journey in the entertainment industry began with over 1,200 television episodes before transitioning to films, where he went on to act in more than 75 films across Tamil, Hindi and other languages.

In 2023, he was appointed President of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Society, where he is entrusted with guiding one of the nation's premier film institutions and mentoring the next generation of filmmakers.
