Our youngest Durganians really showed off their creativity and enthusiasm at the sub-junior fancy dress event. Kids from Classes III to VII dressed up, performed, and presented their characters with confidence. It was a cheerful and lively event.

🏓 Highlights of the Himachal State Ranking Table Tennis Championship 2025 at Durga Public School.

For the past 16+ years, Durga Public School has been honoured to organise this prestigious event — and once again, our school proved to be the most loved venue on the calendar, year after year.
With 240 total individuals, this year marked a historic milestone: the highest-ever participation in 55 years + of Himachal’s Table Tennis history — all in singles events! Players from across the state competed with passion, and the energy in both the halls was electric.
Participants and the guests appreciated not just the high-quality playing conditions, but also our hospitality, food, and overall organisation, making this one of the most memorable championships to date.
Our students delivered brilliant performances across multiple categories, and we’re also proud of our school’s Table Tennis coach, “Bhupender Sir”, who finished as the Men’s Runner-Up and the Runner-Up in the Veteran Category himself — setting a powerful example for our young athletes.

Join us in welcoming back one of our own — Bhavesh Kharbanda, who spent 12 years in Durga Public School, an accomplished IIT Madras alumnus, now a PhD scholar in Zurich.
In this inspiring talk, he shares powerful insights on the value of hard work, the role of mentors, and why discipline and balance often matter more than raw intelligence.
A must-watch for every student chasing excellence with purpose and heart.

On the special occasion of celebrating the 90th birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, our school was deeply honoured to host Dr. Young, a respected Tibetan medical doctor, professor, and spiritual practitioner from Dolanji Monastery.

In what is proudly called the Year of Compassion, Dr. Young shared the profound wisdom of Sowa Rigpa (Traditional Tibetan Medicine) — a holistic healing system rooted in balance, nature, and compassion. He also introduced students to simple yet powerful Tibetan Buddhist meditation techniques, guiding them toward mindfulness, emotional regulation, and inner peace.

This meaningful session was not only an introduction to ancient Tibetan healing practices but also a tribute to the lifelong teachings of His Holiness: compassion, well-being, and harmony — values we hope to instil in every student.
