Conclusion of World Population Campaign: Best-Performing Health Workers Felicitated
On the occasion of the conclusion of the World Population Campaign, Director, Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization, J&K, Dr. Afsana Bano, felicitated the best-performing Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) and Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) from the districts of Budgam, Baramulla, and Ganderbal. The health workers were recognized for their outstanding performance in motivating eligible beneficiaries and effectively implementing Family Planning services in their respective areas and health institutions during the financial year 2025–26.
The Appreciation Certificates were presented during a function held in the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization, J&K.
While congratulating the awardees, Dr. Afsana Bano appreciated their dedication, commitment, and significant contribution towards strengthening Family Planning services across the Union Territory. She emphasized that the sincere efforts of frontline health workers play a vital role in improving reproductive, maternal, and child health outcomes. She also encouraged all FMPHWs and ASHAs to continue working with the same enthusiasm and commitment to further improve reproductive health indicators and ensure quality Family Planning services at the grassroots level.
Among those present on the occasion were Dr. Bashir Ahmad Malik, Assistant Director, Kashmir Division, Mr. Rakesh Sharma, SMEMO, and other officers and staff members of the Directorate.
