This is the official website of Wahabpora. Wahabpora is a village situated at the bank of Aihaji River (Bada Ara/Gam kuel). Wahabpora is about 10 kms away from the district head quarters and 21 kms from Srinagar the capital city of Jammu & Kashmir. It is towards the North.The village Wahabpora consists of about six mohallahs that are namely as Mosvi
abad (Peer Mohallah), Tangapora, Watipora, Ganiepora, New Colony and Chinar colony. It is neccesery to describe that Chinar colony was a part of Mosviabad. Chinar colony is that colonoy which is the central part of the village where are five big chinars about the age five hundred years old. The brother of law of King Janangir (Mughal) and Governor of Kashmir Asif Khan plantted here five chinars Chinar garden of Wahabpora is also known as Asif Ali Bagh. The population of Wahabpora is about 14,000 persons in which there are 9,000 males and 6000 of females. The area of the village is about 06 sq kms which is the total area of the village caputered by residential land, deep wet land (Namal), Agricultural land and dry high land (Wuder) etc. The village consists of many sects of Islam like Shia, Sunni, Noorbakhshia.
