2nd round of 139th BOCA of JKLCMA was convened today under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Qadri to dispose of the remaining cases. In total 165 cases were disposed off by BOCA held today and on 13th December.

Led by Vice Chairman Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, the officers and officials of the J&K LCMA collectively recited the Preamble. This act reaffirmed their commitment to the foundational values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗤𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗶 (𝗝𝗞𝗔𝗦), VC, JKLCMA along with other senior officers of the Authority conducted an extensive inspection of Dal-Nigeen Lake, its navigational channels, and the internal hamlets. The visit offered an opportunity to closely evaluate the various conservation measures being implemented by the Authority.
During the visit, the Vice Chairman inspected the deweeding operations and other conservation efforts, including houseboat connectivity enhancements, ensuring that these interventions uphold both quality standards and the site’s modern-day usability.
The Vice Chairman also directed that the acquired land be clearly demarcated and developed into eco-friendly recreational spots. Special emphasis was placed on controlling the sewage inflow from nearby hamlets to protect the lake’s water quality. Additionally, he instructed that cleaning of navigational channels be prioritized to ensure smooth and safe movement through the waterways.
Such visits reflect the Authority’s commitment to balancing heritage preservation, environmental conservation, and sustainable development, ensuring that Dal-Nigeen Lake continues to thrive as both an ecological treasure and a hub of responsible tourism.

𝗝𝗞𝗟𝗖𝗠𝗔 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗨 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗔𝗕𝗙𝗜𝗗 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀
Srinagar, October 24:
The Jammu and Kashmir Lake Conservation and Management Authority (JKLCMA) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NABFID) for providing technical consultancy services for key development projects around Dal Lake.
Under the MoU, NABFID will extend technical assistance and consultancy support for the ex*****on of the following projects aimed at enhancing the tourism potential and aesthetic appeal of the Dal Lake area:
1️⃣ Installation of a Ferris Wheel in Dal Lake
2️⃣ Installation of a High Jet Fountain in Dal Lake
3️⃣ Installation of a Musical Fountain in Dal Lake
4️⃣ Development of a Theme/Amusement Park at Shalimar, Srinagar
5️⃣ Any other project envisaged by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir
The Government has already accorded approval for the MoU, which is expected to give a major boost to sustainable development and infrastructure upgradation around Dal Lake.
This collaboration between JKLCMA and NABFID will help ensure that these iconic projects are executed with world-class standards, technical expertise, and a strong focus on sustainable lakefront development. 🌊✨

Monitoring every crucial element! VC LCMA took an extensive tour of the Dal Lake periphery, reviewing critical infrastructure like the STPs and various control gates to ensure optimal conservation measures are in place.

Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, JKAS, after taking charge of Vice Chairman of the Jammu & Kashmir Lake Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA), convened a comprehensive review meeting with officers of the Authority on 11.10.2025.

During the meeting, he took stock of the functioning of all operational wings, including enforcement, lake cleaning and maintenance, planning and monitoring, public outreach, and regulatory oversight. He called for strengthening inter-departmental coordination to ensure timely ex*****on of lake conservation initiatives.
The Vice Chairman stressed the need for adopting proactive measures for the preservation and restoration of Dal-Nagin and other allied waterbodies. He further directed officers to ensure prompt redressal of public grievances related to encroachments, pollution, and illegal activities affecting lake ecosystems.
He directed the Enforcement Officer to demolish any construction that takes place within 200 mtrs and stressed for regulation of constructions beyond restricted zone.

The Vice Chairman reaffirmed LCMA’s commitment to safeguarding the region’s natural heritage and instructed officials to maintain high standards of transparency, accountability, and field-level responsiveness in all operations.
