Srinagar police seeks help of the general public in tracing the teenager girl, who is missing since 17.6.18.

As reported by one namely Mst Chasfeeda Altaf W/O Mohammad Altaf R/o Sathboni Lalbazar that her daughter namely Baseerat Altaf,age 15 is missing since 17.6.18.

In this regard FIR No 39/2018 u/s 363 RPC stands registered in Police Station Lalbazar and search to trace out the missing minor girl has been started.

.*Sports event under Civic Action Programme (CAP) organised by Police Station Lalbazaar Srinagar*

Srinagar,February 10 , 2018:

Police Station Lalbazar organised a sports event at "Alamdar Colony RP School"under Civic Action Programme (CAP)The event was inaugurated by SDPO Hazratbal Shri Rameez Bhat and SHO Lalbazar Shri Riyaz Ahmad Khan Good number of youth of area today participated with zeal and zest in tournaments of Volleyball,Carrom, Chess Badminton & Khokho. The winners were suitably awarded & all participants encouraged by the SDPO Hazratbal & SHO Lalbazar.The aim of such event was to impart and inculcate the sense of discipline, sportsmanship and camaraderie among the participants.Moreover the students were educated with respect to ill effects of Social crimes especially drugs
The locals at large appreciated the effort of J and K Police to reach out the masses through CAP which we together believe to strengthen our relationship...
This will continue under the aegies of District Police, Srinagar.

Crack Down against Narcotic Drugs Continues,Police Station Lal Bazar Arrest Drug Dealers.

A naka was laid by SHO Police Station Lalbazar Riyaz Ahmad Khan under the supervision of SDPO Hazratbal Shri. Rameez Rashid Bhat at Bagi Ali Mardan Khan Lalbazar.
At the Naka a Tata Indica car Bearing Registration No.JK01P 4395 was intercepted and on checking large number of Banned Psychotropic Substance Codiene Phosphate (210) Bottles were recovered.In this connection two persons namely Mohmmad yousuf Bhat s/ Ghulam Mohiudin Bhat R/o Ahmad Nagar 90 feet soura and Shabir Ahmad Sheikh S/O Gh Rasool Sheikh R/o Khanyar Budoo bagh Were arrested. The accused disclosed that they have been involved in selling the narcotic and psychotropic drugs since long and are selling the same among the youth in various areas particularly in District srinagar.The duo were selling the Drugs at exorbitant rates to the youth of the area.
In this regard case FIR No 03/17 U/s 8/22 NDPS was registered against the duo and investigation taken up.
This drive against the Narcotic is in continuation to the sustained campaign of JK Police to rid the society of the menace of Narcotics and substance abuse which is taking toll on the young generation.
Srinagar Police has again reterated its request to people to come forward against the curse so that we can together nip this evil in the bud and save the society in general and youth in particular from falling into this vicious Death trap.
The general Public has widely hailed this step by Police.

Today Police station Lalbazar conducted a drive to remove street vendors who have occupied the pavements meant to be used by pedestrians,and thanks to good people of lalbazar who as usual have extended their support to clear the pavements illegally occupied by some shop keepers and promised to Cooperate with the police in future as well...

PCPG meeting was held by Police Station Lalbazar Srinagar under the supervision of SDPO Hazratbal,the main objectiveof the meeting was to spread awareness among the residents of the area about the rumours of braid chopping,it was impressed upon that people should desist and stop their youth from wandering around their localities to stop every passerby and put them on undue questioning and at times harass them especially during wee hours,they were made to understand that the miscreants can take the advantage of it and can loot their houses when left unattended,participants were told not to use or let miscreants use the loudspeakers of masjids to spread anything other than what it is meant for.the participants were requested to cooperate with police so that social crimes like drug menace,gambling,eve teasing etc are curbed.SDPO Hazratbal and SHO PS Lalbazar ensured people the safety and assured them that they will find police as the first respondent in all situations especially when it comes to public safety and law and order maintenance,The participants were overwhelmed by the soft and pro people approach and promised to always cooperate with Police.
The meeting concluded with note of thanks from both sides with hopes and good wishes for prevalence of peace...
