Today, on the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, Waste Collection Trolleys, Hand Gloves, and Uniforms were distributed among the Waste Collectors of Vivekananda Nagar Gram Panchayat under Teliamura RD Block to strengthen the Door-to-Door Waste Collection system.

This initiative aims to enhance solid waste management services, promote cleanliness, and ensure a safer working environment for sanitation workers.

A successful Training Programme on Implementation of Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026 was organised on 22/06/2026 at the BPRC Hall, Teliamura RD Block with active participation of PRI members, elected representatives and officials.
The programme was graced by the presence of the Sahakari Sabhadhipati, Khowai Zilla Parishad, Chairperson and Vice Chairman of Teliamura Panchayat Samiti, Members of Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti , Pradhans, Up-Pradhans, elected representatives of all GPs and In-Charges of all GP/VCs under Teliamura RD Block.
The training focused on effective implementation of Solid Waste Management Rules, source segregation, cleanliness awareness and strengthening sustainable waste management practices in rural areas for building a cleaner and healthier society.

On 12 may 2026 an awareness drama on Swachh Bharat Mission was conducted at the following schools:
- Thapidayal H.S School under Madhya Krishnapur GP
- Metharai School under Chakmaghat GP
- South Pulinpur School under Vivekananda Nagar GP
- Gamaibari H.S School under Gamaibari GP
with the help of *TELIAMURA RD BLOCK*
The programme witnessed active participation from both students and teachers, who enthusiastically joined in spreading the message of cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental awareness. Through the drama performances, the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Mission were effectively highlighted, encouraging the community to adopt healthy and sanitary practices in their daily lives.
