🇮🇳 Sub-Divisional Level Independence Day Celebration at Bhagat Singh Mini Stadium, Teliamura 🇮🇳

The Sub-Divisional Level Independence Day celebration was held with patriotic fervour at Bhagat Singh Mini Stadium, Teliamura, commemorating the 80th Independence Day of India.

The programme was graced by Smt. Kalyani Saha Roy, Hon’ble MLA and Government Chief Whip, Tripura Legislative Assembly, as the Chief Guest.

The celebration witnessed the participation of officers, public representatives, police personnel, government officials and citizens. The ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag, along with the vibrant decorations and participation of the community, reflected the spirit of patriotism, unity and collective responsibility.

The occasion served as a reminder of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and our shared commitment towards the progress, development and welfare of our nation.

🏐 Independence Day Celebration – Volleyball Match

As part of the Independence Day celebrations, a friendly volleyball match was organised on 14 August 2026 between the Media Team and Teliamura Municipal Council at Teliamura.

The match brought together members of the media and the Municipal Council in a spirit of sportsmanship, camaraderie and healthy competition. The event provided an opportunity to come together beyond official responsibilities and celebrate the spirit of Independence through sports and community participation.

Road Safety Enforcement Drive in Teliamura

A joint enforcement drive was conducted in Teliamura by the SDPO, Teliamura and the District Transport Officer (DTO), Khowai, along with police and transport personnel.

The drive focused on ensuring compliance with traffic rules, promoting responsible driving and strengthening road safety measures on the Assam–Agartala Road.

Motorists were checked and advised to strictly follow traffic regulations, including the use of helmets and other essential road-safety requirements.

The enforcement drive reflects the continued commitment of the Police and Transport Department towards safer roads and greater compliance with traffic laws in Teliamura.
