For prevention of Child Marriage various awareness meeting has been conducted as directed by DCPO, Sonitpur on Panchayat offices of the Development Blocks of Sonitpur District by the Panchayat Secretaries i.e Child Marriage Prohibition Officers(CMPOs).
Regarding this the Dekargaon GP, Haleswar GP, Ushapur GP, Dolabari GP, Balipukhuri GP, Besseria GP, Mazgaon GP under Gabharu Development Block has conducted various awareness meetings on Child marriage prohibition and make aware the general masses about its affects.

Today i.e On 27th February 2026, Under the 90-Day Child Protection Campaign “সুৰক্ষিত শৈশৱ সোণালী অসম”, District Child Protection Unit, Sonitpur pasted banners of Child Helpline in various places of Tezpur as a part of Help Line promotion 1098 and the services rendered to the public related to Child protection issues.
The places were near court chariali, Sadar Thana, Kanaklata Civil Hospital and Lalmati Outpost.
