A Mega Health Camp was successfully organised by the Rotary Club of Thane Urbania (RCTU) in collaboration with Mahesh Bansidhar Agarwal Trust , Anusaya Charitable Trust (ACT) and Rajrani Foundation in association with Solaris Hospital, under the guidance of President Dr. Deepak Aiwale. The camp witnessed participation from more than 300 people, benefiting students, parents, and community members. Comprehensive multispecialty consultations were provided, including Gynecology, Neurology, General Medicine, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, and Dental check-ups. Expert doctors offered screenings and preventive guidance. The event was graced by Honourable MP Shri Naresh Mhaske Ji ,and honourable Nagar Sevak Shri Sanjay Lele,Shri Siddharth Ovlekar,Shri Sanjay Pande making it a successful and impactful healthcare initiative.

A wonderful way to kick off the new year! Rotary Fireside meetings (or Fireside Chats) are such a classic tradition for a reason. Moving away from a formal boardroom or restaurant and into a President-Elect's (PE) Rtn. Madhu Sudan Ghosh home really changes the dynamic.

​Building Fellowship: The "cozy environment" helps members connect on a personal level, which is the heart of Rotary’s "Service Above Self" mission.
​Strategic Planning: Since it’s the start of the year, these informal settings are perfect for the PE to share their vision and for the club to brainstorm goals without the pressure of a rigid agenda.

​Member Orientation: They are also fantastic for newer members to ask "the silly questions" and really learn the history and culture of the club in a low-stakes environment.
​There’s nothing quite like a "great vibe" and a warm home to spark fresh ideas for service projects.

🎨🚸 **Fall-Free Thane Initiative** 🚸🎨

*Rotary Club of Thane Urbania* in association with Solaris Hospital and Thane Vaibhav, successfully conducted a **city-wide Fall-Free Initiative** over the past **2 weeks**, engaging **schools and residential societies across Thane**.

Children showcased incredible creativity through a **drawing and poster competition**, sharing **innovative ideas to prevent falls**, especially among **children and senior citizens**. Their artwork reflected awareness, responsibility, and a safer vision for our community.

🏆 **Prize Distribution on 18th January**
Awards for:
✔️ Best 3 Poster in each school
✔️ Best 3 posters in each Society (for implementation of fall-prevention ideas)

The importance of this initiative was appreciated by children, parents and the grandparents because the potentially preventable falls are very common in each family.

🧠 Neurology, Spine & Cancer Camp at Bhiwandi – A Successful Initiative
Solaris Hospital, in association with Rotary Club of Bhiwandi and Rotary Club of Thane Urbania, successfully organised a Free Neurology, Spine & Cancer Camp on 23rd November 2025 at Rotary Club Hall, Bhiwandi.
Under the guidance of president Dr. Deepak Aiwale (Consultant Neurologist) and Dr. Amit Aiwale (Neuro Surgeon), the camp catered to patients suffering from brain & spine disorders, trigeminal neuralgia, brain tumors, spinal issues, and various cancer-related conditions.
The camp received an excellent response, with many patients availing expert consultation, screening, and personalised medical advice. The dedicated medical team from Solaris Hospital ensured smooth registration, evaluation, and counselling throughout the day.
This initiative aimed at bringing specialised neurological and spine care closer to the community, especially for individuals who may not easily access super-speciality services. With the active support of Rotary members and volunteers, the camp was conducted smoothly, professionally, and with compassion.
A warm thanks to everyone who contributed to making this healthcare outreach a meaningful success.

As part of Rotary District Service Week, Ayushman Card and Vay Vandana Card Registration Camp was held on November 23rd at Shri Vibhuti Prakash Anandji Vidyalay, Indira Nagar, Thane West. The camp aimed to benefit eligible citizens and senior citizens.

The event was inaugurated by District Secretary Rtn Madhavi Kharote and AG Ramesh Pallavoor, and jointly organized by Rotary Clubs of Zone 8. This camp was initiated and executed by club presidents RC Thane Creekside's Vibhavari Mani, RC Thane Aces' Chandni Marwa, RC Thane Passion's Gitanjali Devkhile.RC Thane Royals President Karthik Radhakrishnan, RC Thane Legends Usha Mani, RC Thane East Fabian Kowan, RC Thane Urbania Dr Deepak Aiwale, RC Thane Downtown President Sunil Joshi, RC Thane President Girish Vartak and RC Thane Angels President Girish Poddar.

Thank you Rtn Vinit Shaha and Rtn Jasvinder ji for guidance and Support. Thank you Rtn Nilesh Pitle RC Thane Hills for providing 3 laptops free with camera for this camp and registration of Ayushman Card. Indiranagar local social workers also helped us in spreading a word about this camp and also through Rotary Banners and brochers. Thanks to Trusty and Principal of the school for the venue without any charges .

On-the-spot registrations were done for 150 citizens, with 257 people attending the camp.
